I was born in the the '80s on a military base in Jacksonville, Florida. As the youngest child in a Navy family, I grew up in an adventure of moving around the country, getting thrown into new experiences and groups of people every few years.

I began working on computers at the age of two, playing games and learning to read. This was the initial spark in my interest in digital media. Moving and meeting new people all over the country, I also became very fascinated with communication and interaction.

These interests carried me through college. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in mass communications: advertising/public relations and a minor in digital media. I worked for two years in advertising and production before attending the University of Denver, where I earned a master's degree in digital media studies.

While at DU I worked in the Athletics Department in production, assisting in live and internet broadcasts for sporting events, I helped maintain and update the denverpioneers.com website, and I assisted on photo shoots, commercial shoots, press releases, and graphics for marketing material.

After graduating from DU, I secured a job with two of my greatest loves: soccer and digital media. I became the Digital Media and Public Relations manager for Washington Freedom of Women's Professional Soccer. Here, I was responsible for managing and maintaining the team's website, social media strategy, all aspects of public relations, writing press releases and communications, video pre- and post-production, and digital content creation.

When the team moved to Florida, I followed my love for the outdoors and mountains back out to Colorado. Since my return to the state, I have been immersed in digital media, working first as a digital media strategist for ski companies and companies within the healthy and active lifestyle niche in Colorado, and now for Outdoor Industry Association.

As a strategist, I had the opportunity to oversee the redesign of Skiershop.com and Stockli.com. I advised and managed projects on new e-commerce and content management platforms, and produced and published online content for multiple web sites, social media outlets, and e-newsletters.

Now, with Outdoor Industry Association, I am working on developing a new digital strategy to redevelop and redesign OutdoorIndustry.org. Concurrently, I am digging into the social media marketing, email marketing, content, and marketing automation strategiest.

Living in beautiful Colorado, when I'm not working, I'm usually outside with my dog trying to conquer a mountain or catch a fish.
